Tiny Book Necklaces......

I made little book necklaces last summer but made them so they stood up and could be opened, however I saw a similar idea on Pintrest with putting the headpin straight through the book to make a necklace and I really liked it.  I just had to make some.........

Book of the Sea necklace.......

The Book of the Pebbled Beach........

The Book of Sunset Beach.......

The Book of White Shell Beach......

This shows the size of the books. They are 1 inch by 1 inch........ yep, that's my very wrinkled hand!  A palm reader would have ball reading all of my lines!

Beach Gypsy Bracelets

I'm not sure if Gypsies go to the beach but if they do I'd like to think they would wear lots of bracelets like the ones I created below!  They are available for $10 each and that includes shipping.  They vary in size so if you see one you like shoot me an email and I can email you back the exact size if it.

Dragon Fly

They look great stacked on your wrist, wearing them in twos, threes or even fours!  The dragon fly one is leather.  I'm planning on making more of them in the future.
Have a great Sunday!  The weather here is picture perfect with wall to wall sunshine!

Ocean Inspiration

What a great weekend with wonderful weather!  It got me thinking about hot summer days and water!  I love water......in the shower or out on the lake.....I'll take it just about any way I can so I was inspired to do a digital collage with this cute little guy enjoying the water himself.  He is from an upcoming kit by Hidden Vintage Studios over at DeviantScrap.com to be released sometime in June.  The background and the lighthouse are from Eenas' Lighthouse Digi kit @DeviantScrap.com

While creating the above digital collage I was thinking about the briny depths of the ocean and the mythological character, King Neptune with his trident, which led to me cutting pickle forks  and making them in to "King Neptune" necklaces.  Hand wrapped with pearls, seed beads and shells.  The cording is sewn from batik quilting fabric.  If you would like to make one your own hop on over to Honey Girl Studio Jewelry.

This last bad girl bathing beauty has been created from a leather heart, hand sewn cording and a flat backed marble and shell dangle.

Snow and May Flowers?

I can't believe that there is a winter storm watch starting tomorrow night and it's going to be April 22nd!  Well, in celebration of the coming May flowers Hidden Vintage Studios is releasing the "May Flowers" mini kit over at www.deviantscrap.com.  It will be in the shop on Sunday night.
Here's a little something I made with the kit.  The lady is named "Fern" and she's from the May Flowers kit, all of the other elements are from Holliewood Studio's Enchanted and Somewhere kits.

Fern trained her giant pets, Artie and Bob with a purple umbrella, not an orange umbrella....because it made them cranky.  She carefully documented her training regimen on her 1914 Underwood typewriter which she always kept close at hand.

April Showers......

Did you get an April Fool's joke played on you today?  Well, this is no joke.....the April Showers kit is in the Hidden Vintage Studios shop over at Deviant Scrap.

I made this collage with the elements from the kit.  The watercolored background is from Holliewood Studio's "Enchanted" kit @ Deviant Scrap.

This is a physical piece I made with the kit elements........

Speaking of rain.  I call this necklace "the rainball".  You can find it here.

You can also find this leather distressed bird here.

That's all for now.......spring has sprung!

Spring has Sprung?

Spring has sprung early!  Just think of the super cute Easter cards and spring art you can make with this mini-kit!  All of the images in this mini-kit were taken from vintage photos (the bodies not the heads!). You can find the Spring Friends kit over at DeviantScrap.com

These were made with the mini-kit and leaves, flowers and frame from Holliewood Studios at Deviant Scrap.

Egg hunt anyone?  Everything but the pink and blue background, which is from Tumble Fish Studio's "Vibrations" kit is from the Spring Friends mini-kit.

I bet you hope he'll bring you something chocolate!

Here is a little little free background for you to download and use.....

Here it is with the saturation bumped up! Feel free to use in your art!

Happy creating!
